Loft House

The Factory Loft House occupies the 200sq meters portion of the historic Hapuku Dairy Factory building.

This is a self-catered option only with a full kitchen and kitchenette downstairs and coffee/tea/ mini fridge upstairs.

With two bathrooms, two lounge areas, a large dining & kitchen area this accommodation is great for groups traveling together that like a little privacy.

The layout downstairs consists of two queen bedrooms with bathroom facilities between. The lounge area has large comfortable couches, a lovely big wood burner fireplace and Sky t.v with all smart tv options. The kitchen and kitchenette are fully equipped with dish drawers, microwave, and a large free-standing oven. The dining and relax area are open planned into the kitchen giving you plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the natural light and mountain views coming in from the large cedar glass sliding doors.

Upstairs the Loft room is a mini apartment of its own! Three comfortable couches and a large smart T.V give you the option to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The super king bed will envelope you and the sky lights above it will mesmerize you with the night sky.The tea/coffee mini-fridge area means you can have your morning cuppa without popping downstairs. The Loft bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, shower, vanity basin and toilet.

Max Guest: 7 People

The Factory Loft House comfortably sleeps 6ppl, however, there is an additional single room with single bed for an extra person if required.
This option also includes a bottle of bubbles and a platter on arrival with a fruit bowl and chocolates provided in the accommodation.
This new option will also be exclusive to only one party so in the calendar all other options need to be closed off when this is booked, max occupation for this option is 7.
The price per night is $795 for the first couple and $145 PP there after.

Lovely Property and Accommodations, Amazing Views, Wonderful Hosts! My family and I spent two nights at this fabulous property. We enjoyed the 3-bedroom apartment where we could hang out together both inside and outside. Daily 3-course breakfasts were amazing. Fun games and gym were great. Skip and Sean were the perfect hosts. They made our visit so enjoyable and even took us around town. Wish we’d stayed longer, and hope to be back soon!

Beautiful in every way! Everything about The Factory is just gorgeous - from the stunning setting sandwiched between moody mountains and the everchanging surf beach - lie in bed or on the comfy loungers and listen to waves, tui & bellbirds - to the perfect decor along with a character building with an interesting history... Add in wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay, and all I can say is what a winner. So lucky that we can get in the car and drive here in a couple of hours! Thanks so much team Factory - pleasure to meet you. We'll be back!

Stunning. An absolute’Must Go’ We have just spent 2 wonderful days at The Factory. We were looking for 2 days to do nothing and we got that. Welcomed by a nice Pinot and Cheeseboard - Sean and Skip were just wonderful hosts. We spent our time in front of a roaring fire - waking up in the morning to the hot tub overlooking the Kaikoura Ranges. The cottage is just beautiful a with everything you would expect from a luxury property. Thank you guys for allowing us the opportunity to share your spectacular spot. We loved it!

Amazing hosts Sean and Skip were amazing hosts and their hospitality was second to none. Very helpful, gave us recommendations and offered to book us into a restaurant as well as drop us off. Really different and really lovely This lovely conversion from an old dairy ‘factory’ to a home with accommodation has all the facilities. Hot tub, outside seating, fully fitted kitchen, comfortable lounge area with TV and DVDs, very easy stroll to the beach - and a helipad in the grounds. However, their secret weapons are Sean and his wife ‘Skip’ who run the place and live on site. Go for the Heli trip if you can, you won’t regret it!

Amazing location, lovely property, incredible owners & hosts! From the moment we made contact with Sean many months before our stay his communication and assitance not only with the accommodation, but also with restaurant and other local bookings was above and beyond what you would expect! Similarly when we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Sean and his wife Skip and not only shown around the property, but also presented with a welcome platter and various refreshments, including a bottle of bubbly, a few beers and milk in the fridge! The standard of accommodation was simply charming and first class, in fact a real luxury home away from home and in the perfect location to not only walk onto an amazing beach where we saw dolphins swimming (the beach is not suitable to swim due to currents), but also very easy to find, convenient and just a short drive into Kaikoura. Sean, Skip and thier property were amazing and we feel privileged to have found them on Trip Advisor and we would not only highly recommend them and their property, but hopefully we may return ourselves for a future visit!

Excellent!!! The Factory is a wonderful accommodation with a very unique and beautiful interior. It was the perfect place for our family (including two little children), because it is situated in a quiet area along the beach just outside of Kaikoura. Guests can enjoy an outdoor spa. For kids there is even a playground in the garden. The Factory hosts are wonderful and take great care of their guests. They are more than happy to create you the perfect stay. Every morning a freshly cooked breakfast was delightful. We can highly recommend the Factory!!! It’s excellent!!!

Fantastic stay at The Factory! Apologies to Sean and Skip for our tardy review. We (family of four) stayed here late in November. Beautiful home, immaculate, and very well appointed. Sean and Skip were super hosts, genuine and caring, welcoming us with champagne, charcuterie board, home-made cookies on different days. Their home is secluded but not far from town. Right on the beach (seal and all). Can't say enough good things about our stay - do not hesitate to stay here! (Look out for the early morning duck who comes to visit!).

A gorgeous B & B The Factory is on the beachfront at Kaikoura and has the most beautiful views of the mountains and a private beach. There are three rooms and a living room perfect for a small group of friends. Our hosts, Sean and Skip were super great people. Skip is a magnificent chef and prepares breakfast fit for a king (including a sweet at the end). Sean will make you any coffee drink you wish for. There is a hot tub to relax in after a busy day. Ask them where you can get the best fish and chips and bring them back for a great NZ dinner

family trip Wonderful location and a really beautiful accommodation. We (family, 2 kids 7 and 10) enjoyed this place very much. The kids played a lot at the beach just across the house. Skip and Sean are very good hosts. We really recommand this place.
